faaliyetler bütünü veya sistemidir. Bir işletme pazarlama faaliyetlerinin tümünü değil , sadece bir kısmını yerine getiriyor olabilir. Ancak pazarlama karmasının temel unsurları " mamül, fiyat, tutundurma ve dağıtım " la ilgili pek çok kararın alınması ve amaçlarına uygun olarak uygulanması gerekir.

-Pazarlama, mallar, hizmetler ve fikirlerle ilgilidir.

-Pazarlama sadece bir malın reklamı veya satış faaliyeti olmayıp ,daha üretim öncesinde mamülün fikir olarak planlanıp geliştirilmesinden başlayarak , fiyatlandırılması,tutundurulması ve dağıtımı ile ilgilidir.

-Pazarlama bir işletme faaliyetleri grubu olarak,çok dinamik yapıda sürekli ve sık sık değişebilen bir ortamda yürütülür.
